Flying White Dots

28 April 2009

Flying White Dots is my friend Bryan from work, who builds bespoke bootlegs from pop tunes. He’s made three albums, which have received radio play from the likes of Rob da Bank and Radio Reverb. Because his music consists of other tunes mashed together, he publishes his music on his website.

Recently Bryan received a ‘cease and desist’ order from an artist who’s material had been re-purposed. A ‘cease and desist’ order is a legal document asking someone to refrain from a certain activity, in this case host borrowed content on your website, or face legal action. I find this element of Brians music incredibly interesting.

Head over to the Flying White Dots website and you can download all three albums and his EP. There’s also some videos and some cool links. He just got confirmed for the Bestival this year, on the all-new AfterBurner stage which sounds quite interesting and pyro-technical.
